Monday, September 14 - Understanding Today's Technology Decisions and Tomorrow's Facilities
SMPTE's full-day professional education program provides a strategic and practical roadmap for the modern media enterprise.

The morning workshop, "Technology Roadmap for the Modern Media Enterprise," equips business and technology leaders with the knowledge to navigate today's most important technology decisions. Covering IP infrastructures, codecs, graphics, AI, software-defined workflows, and emerging production technologies, the workshop examines each through the lens of business outcomes, total cost of ownership (TCO), time to market, operational agility, and long-term competitive advantage.

In the afternoon, "DMF in Practice: Designing and Operating Dynamic Media Facilities for Software-Defined Production" moves from strategy to implementation. Led by industry experts Willem Vermost and Wim Van Roy, participants will explore real-world demonstrations, implementation examples, and practical guidance for adopting Dynamic Media Facility (DMF) concepts. Attendees will also receive workshop resources and access to GitLab repositories to support continued learning and experimentation long after the event.
