Eric Heidendahl has just marked his 12th year as a professor/coordinator with Loyalist College in Belleville. The first 8 years as the coordinator for the broadcast engineering program.
Previous to this: Eric has held numerous industry positions.
Global TV, Vice President engineering eastern Canada for Global Canwest.
Sony Canada, in his 15 years with Sony Canada he held several positions as General Manager in 4 different capacities, from Service & Engineering to sales and product support.
Prior to joining Sony, Eric served in a number of senior technical roles in Canada’s broadcast industry with such leaders as The Sports Network, Dome Productions in the brand new at the time SkyDome and Quantel Canada.
He holds a Graduate Engineering Technologist Diploma from the Engineering Technology Faculty of Centennial College. He was voted Alumni of Distinction in 1999.
He is certified with the Society of Broadcast Engineers as a CBT (Certified Broadcast Technologist)
Eric has had a long association with the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) serving several terms as a member of the board of managers for the local chapter.
