Mike is the Director, Engineering and Technology for ABC News, where he has spent the last 30+ years. Mike has overseen the transformation from Analog to Digital, from SD to HD and now from SDI to IP, and has typically been in the forefront of most technical advances at the network. Mike has more than 50 Disney Inventor awards, which have resulted in over 40 US patents. Mike is a SMPTE Fellow and is currently on the board of AMWA. He came to ABC from SMSC, where he was a software test engineer. He received his bachelors in Electrical Engineering Technology from SUNY Polytech in 1983.
