Mo has been with Evertz since 2005, with roles that include Product Manager and Product Marketing. He is currently responsible for international business development for Live Media Production which included Evertz’ Software Defined Video Networking (SDVN) IP solutions and DreamCatcherTM production suite.
Prior to Evertz, his previous work experience includes: developing software for small to mid-size IP data routers, creating IPv6 forwarding engine for 10GbE network processor for large core routers, and introducing Ethernet services on Nortel optical transport products. He graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and has been a member of Professional Engineers of Ontario since 1996.

Presentation Topic: NMOS IS-04/05 in the real world

Description: This session gives participants a glimpse into the real-world use NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 in today’s IP-based broadcast facilities. Over the past few years, the industry has been successfully transitioning to IP using SMPTE ST 2110. There are many examples of successful SMPTE ST 2110-based facilities and SMPTE ST 2110 enabled products. However, very few of these case studies cover the reality of NMOS IS-04 and IS-05. We explore the realities of NMOS IS-04/05 with real examples and case studies and describe lessons learned.
